The sixth annual event, which honors all things sci-fi, fantasy, horror and comic books, will tape at Universal Studios on Saturday, October 15, and premiere on Spike TV on Tuesday, October 18 (9:00 – 11:00 PM, ET/PT). Two-time Academy Award nominee Robert Downey Jr. will attend to accept Scream’s prestigious Hero Award. Jessica Biel and Kate Beckinsale in a big-screen, all-out catfight? No you’re not dreaming, fanboys. It’s a taste of the upcoming Total Recall remake, courtesy of Colin Farrell. “There is a really good fight between them, very beautifully choreographed and very aggressive,” Colin tells ET Canada. “There will be fanboys all over the world getting rather uncomfortable if they go see the film with their girlfriends during that fight.” Colin has been shooting the futuristic sci-fi flick — based on the Philip K. Dick novelette We Can Remember It For You Wholesale — in Toronto, and he reports, “I’m really enjoying it! We’ve been here three-and-a-half months, and we have another five or six weeks, so it’s a decent haul this one.” But way before the remake of the 1990 Arnold Schwarzenegger classic hits the big screen, Colin is the killer vampire next door, Jerry Dandridge, in the remake of another beloved ’80s movie, Fright Night. |

Here’s a great chance to meet the dreamy Jessica Biel and studly Colin Farrell — or, alternately, to stand on your feet for 14 hours for minimum wage. Either way, for those who’ve always dreamed of being in a Hollywood blockbuster (by budget if nothing else), this extras casting call for the Toronto-filmed remake of Total Recall should work quite nicely. And, even better, you’ll get to see what part of Toronto the crew has selected to represent the “seedy/dark part of the world.” If interested, bust out your best hungover/underslept photo and send it in!
