Jessica Biel, often voted sexiest woman in Hollywood, reveals her secrets – from coping with pressure to becoming a hit with Justin Timberlake’s folks.

Have you ever had to prove yourself to a potential in-law like your character in the movie For Easy Virtue?

Yeah, with all of the boyfriends I’ve had. I think there’s always that period when you’re meeting your boyfriend’s mother for the first time, you’re really putting on a show and the jokes are coming out and you’re trying so hard. I’ve never had any really big conflicts before, but I think it’s always intimidating. You know, what’s even worse than the mother? It’s the sister. You’ve got to get the sister on your side.

Ben Barnes (her leading man in the movie) has been saying how he was besotted with you during filming.

You know why? That’s because he’s only dealt with cartoon fake things before (laughs). He’s been dealing with fake animals in Narnia and he finally has some real people to talk to and he was just so pleased I think.

He has also been talking about the scene where you two had to dance and Justin came on set at that moment.

Oh yeah, I think he was kind of nervous because we were dancing and that’s one of Justin’s specialities – one of his many specialities! But Ben’s fantastic and Justin dealt with it very well.

So he didn’t get jealous?

“(Laughs) Not over Ben’s dancing, no.”

Does Justin visit you on the sets?

As much as he can. His schedule is pretty crazy. Mine’s crazy, but his is crazier for sure.

Do you feel pressure for having to look good in a certain way?

I’ve been doing this for a while so I’m pretty relaxed about all of that but of course like anyone I have my insecurities. Some days I’m like, ‘Oh, I don’t like this about me, I don’t like that.’ But I try not to buy into that whole self-critical thing because it can just be so damaging to you. You can get in the habit of thinking the worst about yourself. I have people around me who love me for me, no matter what I look like, or how much I weigh, so I’m lucky like that. They make me feel beautiful even when I don’t think I am.
