‘Nailed’ production shut down again

Production of troubled indie comedy “Nailed,” starring Jessica Biel and Jake Gyllenhaal, has been shut down for a third time due to financial problems.

Below-the-line crews refused to work Thursday. Members of the Intl. Alliance of Theatrical & Stage Employees were ordered by IATSE leaders not to show up at the South Carolina set after not being paid.

A person familiar with the situation said production’s expected to resume next Thursday in South Carolina. Previously set plans had been for filming to go on to a Thursday-through-Monday work week at that point to accommodate the availability of locations such as the state capitol buildings.

IATSE-repped employees also stopped production on May 15 after not being paid, then resumed on Monday. The Screen Actors Guild had ordered its members to stop working on May 9 after film financer Capitol Films failed to deposit enough required money in SAG accounts set up to pay the actors. Filming then resumed on May 12 after the funds went into the accounts.

Capitol Films was not immediately available for comment. IATSE also would not comment.

Pic, directed by David O. Russell, began shooting April 15 and is due to wrap in mid-June. Catherine Keener, James Marsden and Tracy Morgan also star.

In a previous interview, Capitol Films topper David Bergstein insisted his company was on firm financial footing despite reports about unpaid bills and lawsuits.

“Nailed” is produced by Douglas Wick and Lucy Fisher through their Red Wagon banner and by Persistent Entertainment. Script by Russell and Kristin Gore, centers on an uninsured woman who goes on a crusade for better health care after a nail is accidentally shot into her head.

That sucks. At least filming is expected to start again. Maybe or hopefully it will resume sooner.

Well since she was drinking beer that pretty much confirms the pregnany rumors were bull.

I wish they would stop with these shut downs the last two times they stop iseemed to be on a holiday Mothers day and now Memorial day

I don’t think there is a photo of her there, but I’m telling you that she was there with rachel eating peanuts, and they said her name a few times, So I’m sure it was her.

She was featured on the tv in the crowd. My friend watched the game and told me he saw her with JT’s cousin.

They may well both be attending but I doubt they’ll walk the red carpet together and pose together. I remember when Jessica was with Chris and they were both there one year and they didn’t even seat together.

Plus I remember last year they reported just before the show that MTV producers were planning to make sure Jessica wasn’t going to be seated next to Cameron and that she wouldn’t be presenting her category… well if you remember, Jessica presented “best kiss” which Cameron was nominated in, so that was a bunch of crap.

Oh yes, and last year they said that JT and Jessica were going to be at the VMA;s together and jessica wasnt even there.

I think that was a rumor but there were no pics, not even of them leaving, i guess we wont know.

But, they initially reported, before the show that they were going to walk down the red carpet together, that obviously didnt happen

I might be wrong but don,t they know if thier going to get an awards and would that determing if the celebrity shows up for the award show ?and I did see a clip on one of the entertainment show where they showed Jessica back stage at the VMA looking like she was lost

No i dont think they know beforehand. They find out the same time everone else does - when the winner is read out.

Who said anything about her being in NYC? She’s in Florida at the moment and will be back in SC when filming resumes.

I wonder if she’ll even be able to make it to the show… her filming scedule might not permit her to.

If i remember right, they said he was going to be there last year, and he wasnt.

I guess becuase mike myers is there and he’s in the love guru coming out and justin is in it, they might do somthing about the love guru at the show.

Every award show that happens now, they say Justin and Jessica will be attending together. There were rumors that they would walk the VMAs together, but that didn’t happen. Last year, there were rumors about the movie awards with Cameron and said it would be drama but there wasn’t.
Recent rumors were saying that Jess was pregnant, but she was drinking beer so that pregnancy rumor can’t be true. Am I seeing a pattern here?

For some award shows (like MTV, not the Oscars), I think they give the award to whoever will show. Or they tell the person they are winning so they can show up. I’m thinking Jessica will be back at filming and probably won’t be at the show. She also has stiff competition so maybe she won’t win either so there won’t be a reason for her to be there.

I can,t understand why there aren,t any photos of them in Miami there was a few of John and Jennifer at poolside and at the afterparty

April 5th is the last time you saw them together there are other celebritys like Lance and Kate ,Jake and Resse that have been photograph together recently out and about

it just seems odd that you don,t see them out and about it’s coming up on three months since they been photograph together

Jessica isn’t your typical wild party girl, but she does go to clubs now and again.

I know she has gone to clubs, but I haven’t heard much of her drinking, dancing, and partying until the morning. I have heard a couple of stories though, it just seems rare.

This article in the Miami Hearld doesn,t make any sense at all ! ! I get the working out in a gym but the rest This story sound like something they just through together to print in thier paper

Don’t know why that report doesn’t make sense, makes perfect sense to me. Absolutely nothing wrong with her partying, it makes for a nice change. If she was drunk all the time then that would be a different matter. I’m glad to see her out and about, otherwise she’d run the risk of being quite boring. She pretty close to that as it is. Same goes for the reports about their PDA, love it.

They same would have to be for Justin and Jessica but they seemed more intent on each other than on having their lives together, put out there. Good for them.

Of course i’d love to see more photos especially when they’re being affectionate and coming out of the club but they seemed more interested in each other than garning a photo op. They seem very happy with each other. They way that they continue to conduct themselves, Is one of the many things that i love about them.

thats what people say about Jessica. she notifies the paparazzi of her whereabouts and that her publicists gets her out there and talked about.

dont know if that is true, they say that about a lot of people. i doubt it. otherwise, we would have had paparazzi photos of these sightings, which there were none. they seem like a very private couple, jessica especially, listen to the radio interview she did last month where she talks about not wanting people to pry into her personal life and even talks about decoys she has and ways in which she avoids the paparazzi.

I meant that before Justin, Jessica and her publicist use to do that. Now she doesn’t so much.

Of course her and her publicists aren’t going to say anything. Does Paris Hilton, Heidi and Spencer and others say that they do it? No. It’s just known that they do. I have also read lots of times that she has a good publicists and pr team. also that Jessica and her friends have talked to tabloids. and she use to smile for the paparazzi all the time (wink wink) and now that she is with Justin (who hates the paparazzi) she doesn’t.

dont make accusations about someone you dont even know, when there’s proof, i’ll believe it.

fyi, she didnt smile at them all the time, just now and again, she still does occasionally. cameron diaz smiles at them too now sometimes, even justin has smiled at them. doesnt mean anything.

dont go by hearsay, “i read this”, “i read that”. no one knowa other than them so dont be so sure.

well then you shouldn’t say “I doubt it” when you don’t know Jessica or anyone else or what’s going on either.

from the pictures I have seen, she has smiled a lot before she started dating Justin. then there are pictures of her posing and such and pictures that look like photo ops. I haven’t seen her smile at all recently.

that’s not proof, that’s just observation, which their could be tons of explanations for.

face it, unless you work for her pr-team or you are an insider in the biz then you dont know. i’m not claiming either way, because i dont know.

all i’m saying is you can’t make accusations about people you dont know, especially when you have no proof.

I don’t think there is much explanation for purposely posing and smiling for the paparazzi.

and please show me a picture of her “posing” for paparazzi. and dont post one of her outside the letterman show or something, because paparazzi are always their snapping pics of the guests.

I hope you know that JT has posed and smiled for the papz before… so I guess he must have tipped them off too *eyeroll*

just checking, because your comments further up seem to mirror some made by a few jessica haters on certain other message boards. anyhow, if you had said no then i would have pointed out the obvious and asked why you were on a jessica fansite in the first place, but since you are one i guess there’s no need to go there

so she’s looking at the camera smiling, she’s not the only celeb to do that. she didn’t do it all the time, just now and again. it looks to me that she was just walking and being polite to them by giving them what they want.

also, one of the pics was of her taking pics of them, there’s a reason why some celebs do that.

lets not get into this again, but i still wont buy it and believe you’re just here to stir trouble.
