“Nailed” has finished filming in Columbia for good after the shoot never resumed from weekend walk-off by movie crews who said they were not getting paid.
Producers were hoping to resume filming Monday, but crews refused to work on the comedy starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Biel, Variety reported.
It’s unclear if producers have enough money to get the movie into theaters.
The independent movie’s backer, Capitol Films, received financing this month that was supposed to be enough to finish the shoot that had already been halted three times because of union pay disputes, sources told The Hollywood Reporter.
However, filmmakers might not have enough money to get the movie into post-production, sources told The Hollywood Reporter.
“One more shutdown will kill the movie,” a film executive told the trade publication.
On Friday, members of International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees forced the movie’s fourth stoppage in six weeks, Variety and L.A. Weekly reported.
Stage union members had walked off twice before after not getting paid. In early May, the Screen Actors Guild ordered members off the set because not enough money was put into accounts used to pay actors.
