Palm Springs ShortFest returns

The Palm Springs ShortFest has packed its lineup with celebs, including many switch-hitting as helmers.
Event runs Aug. 21-27.
Kate Hudson will bring her short film “Cutlass,” starring Dakota Fanning and Virginia Madsen; Kirsten Dunst directs Winona Ryder in “Welcome”; and Matthew Modine directs himself in “I Think I Thought.”
Other shorts star Tony Shalhoub (”LA Actors”), David Arquette (”Nosebleed”) or feature celeb voices including Ian McKellen (”For the Love of God”), Whoopi Goldberg (”The Descendant”) and Robert Redford (”The New Environmentalists”).
The fest will also feature master classes by thesp Bill Pullman and cinematographer William Fraker; a session on film criticism will include David Ansen (Newsweek) and Claudia Puig (USA Today).
Jessica to pig out on burgers, beer!

Justin Timberlake is so worried about his ladylove Jessica Biel’s thin frame that he’s ordered her to go on a burgers and beer binge.
“Jessica really loves to work out and so does Justin, but lately it seems like that’s all she is doing,” the News of the World quoted a source, as saying.
“Justin is trying to get it through to her that she can take some time out to enjoy burger and beers,” the source added.
Meanwhile, rumours are rife that the hunky pop star is hunting for the perfect ring for his girlfriend.
The ‘4 Minutes’ singer is also reportedly eyeing many exotic islands as a venue for his marriage to Jessica.
Jessica Biel made her dog sick when she tried to cook for boyfriend Justin Timberlake.
The ‘I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry’ star - who has been dating ‘SexyBack’ singer Justin since last January - reportedly attempted to make him a romantic meal, but Justin couldn’t stomach her food.
A source said: “Jessica made Justin this really disgusting meal. He didn’t like it, so when she went out to run some errands he tried to slip the remaining food to Jessica’s Pit Bull Terrier Tina. But as soon as Tina had eaten it, she threw up!
“When Jessica got back, she asked Justin what he thought of the food and he told her it was delicious. But he finally confessed and she found the congealed food in a pile by Tina’s water bowl.”
It was recently reported Justin is planning to propose to Jessica, and his grandmother Sadie is already planning the ceremony, insisting the pair should marry Jessica in Justin’s mother Lynne’s backyard.
Justin Timberlake Tells Jessica Biel to Slow Down

Justin Timberlake has told girlfriend Jessica Biel to slow down.
The SexyBack singer, 27, is said to be encouraging the ‘Elizabethtown’ actress to ease off her diet and fitness regime because he’s concerned she’s burning herself out.
A source says, “Jessica is under a lot of pressure to stay in shape because there is so much competition amongst young actresses in Hollywood.
“Jessica loves to work out and so does Justin, but lately it seems like that’s all she does.
“She’s got an amazing body and Justin is trying to get through to her that she can afford to take some time out once in a while and have a burger, some beers and a day doing nothing.”
Timberlake’s nan recently revealed that she wanted Justin and Jessica to marry in his mom’s backyard.
She said, “I just want them to be happy. Justin should get married in Lynn’s back yard in Tennessee.
“She has a big yard with beautiful flowers.
“I think it would be perfect.
“Jessica’s really sweet. She’s his age and isn’t possessive. I think their personalities are a lot alike.”
