Jessica Biel’s good deeds seem largely about saving animals, not the planet. She’s well-known for her support of PETA and other pet and wildlife organizations. And her first short film as a producer, Hole in the Paper Sky, carries a strong animal rights message.

But this glam-girl, who made it big on TV’s “7th Heaven” and in films including The Illusionist, has done some work on the green front too. In describing her life’s work on her MySpace page, she lists “environmentalist” right up there with “actor and producer.” She’s using her page to plug eco-passions like the Make the Difference Network she founded with her dad to “make a positive impact on the planet.” She earned a green thumbs-up from The Daily Green for carrying Anya Hindmarch’s “I’m Not a Plastic Bag” to farmers’ markets. And lately, Jessica and beau Justin Timberlake have both been singing the praises of a consumer eco-tips guide called The Green Book.

Yet in this time when eco-activism is practically a prerequisite for stardom, we wondered how green Jessica Biel really is in her everyday life. Here’s our Q&A.

Q: What’s the nerdiest green thing you do at home?

JB: I use CamelBaks and drink tap water. I recycle religiously, but I’m trying to minimize even the amount of recycling we generate in my house. Did you know that more than 60 million plastic bottles end up in landfills and incinerators every day — 22 billion last year?

I’m also trying to use less water. Old habits die hard, but if all Americans turned off the water when brushing our teeth, we could save up to 1.5 billion gallons a year.

How else are you walking your talk as an environmentalist?

If we really want to make changes, we will all have to make a personal commitment. My producing partner, Michelle Purple, and I intend to run environmentally sound productions and earmark a portion of any earnings from our projects for environmentally focused initiatives.

Do you nag friends and family to go greener?

I do my fair share of reminding people, especially when they are in my house! Ask my dad about the mini-lectures he’s gotten from me and my roommates if he doesn’t use the proper recycling procedures!

What’s your best idea for saving the planet?

With the price of gas and its environmental impact escalating, and its availability dwindling, we have more reasons than ever to investigate alternative forms of energy and transportation. We’ve already made some great advances. While we look for even better technologies, let’s start making hybrid cars more affordable to the average car buyer!

What are three things you think are go-green no-brainers?

One, change your light bulbs. The Green Book says that if every American family changed out just five regular light bulbs with more energy-efficient compact fluorescent bulbs, we could keep more than 1 trillion pounds of greenhouse gases out of the air.

Two, no plastic. And three, recycle everything!

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel continued their romantic Roman holiday Friday with some vintage jewelry shopping.

Their purchases: A diamond bracelet and ring, both from the 1970s, a source confirms to PEOPLE.

The couple spent about an hour at the unmarked shop, located on a cobblestone street near the Via Condotti, Rome’s poshest shopping area.

The tiny shop - about the size of two phone booths - and specializes in 1950s to 1970s era jewelry. (It has very little jewelry on display, but there’s a huge built-in safe.)

Timberlake and Biel - who came to the shop on a recommendation - asked the shop assistant to empty the safe, and Biel proceeded to try on nearly every piece.

One particularly interesting piece? A 17th century necklace. When Biel found out how old it was, Timberlake started serenading her with a song from the soundtrack to Easy Virtue, her upcoming period film.

“I could tell they had very refined taste because they asked about the history of all the jewelry,” shop owner Nicola Boncompagni tells PEOPLE. She added that the couple seemed “shy but in love.”

Biel chose not to wear any of the purchases immediately - preferring to have the jewelry delivered to their hotel.

Easy Virtue’s Stephan Elliott has revealed that Justin Timberlake brought some unwanted guests on the set of the film.

The SexyBack star is dating Jessica Biel, who stars in the film, and was followed by some photographers when he visited the set.

“There was a bit of paparazzi, specifically when Justin turned up one day, and that’s when it got out of hand,” the Australian filmmaker recalled at the film’s premiere in Toronto.

“There’s a 20s dinner scene where everybody’s dressed to the nines, and there are these lenses coming up in the background of the shot. Snapperazzi! We had a couple of bad guys, but they’re generally pretty cool.”

While Justin doesn’t have a guest appearance in the film, which premiered at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, Stephan says he’ll be happy to give him a cameo in his next film.

Yeah! Why not?” he said, smiling.

In Easy Virtue, Jessica plays a glamorous American divorcee who ties the knot to a young Englishman, played by Prince Caspian’s Ben Barnes.

“The movie’s about marrying wrong. That’s the real heart of it,” added the director. “It’s not easy, and marriage isn’t easy. Her (Jessica’s) character discovers five minutes into the film that she’s made a terrible mistake.”

With every large film festival, there’s always celebs on the red carpet taking pictures and giving out autographs.

And when it comes to autographs, people take it seriously. Especially those crazed “professional” autograph collectors.

So, during the 2008 Toronto Film Festival, a survey was taken to find out who was the best and worst celeb autograph signers.

Ater some polling from the fans, photographers, festival volunteers and even the professional autograph seekers, the list was compiled.

And, topping off the list of best signers is Benicio Del Toro. It states, “The Che star was almost everywhere during his few days in Toronto - late nights and early mornings. But Del Toro never refused to sign. When one autograph collector mentioned that Benicio did 21 photos in a row at one stop for him - he was crowned our TIFF ‘08 signing champ.”

Also on the best list was Rose McGowan, Kate Beckinsale, Dakota Fanning and Zac Efron who “signed up a storm at his premiere.”

As for the list of the worst, Jimmy Page came in on top. “Disappointing for many, considering Page was the one autograph everybody wanted. Jimmy was at least nice and did explain to collectors - from the moment he landed in Toronto that he ‘was not doing the autograph thing anymore. Kind of finished with that.’ For his three days in Toronto - he basically stuck to his word and signed nothing. At least, almost nothing.”

Among the rest of the worst on the red carpet for not signing, are Jessica Biel, Jennifer Aniston, Queen Latifah, John Malkovich, and Kiera Knightley.

London, Sept 16 (ANI): American actress Jessica Biel once mistook a small Ferris wheel for the London Eye.

The 26-year-old actress along with the cast and crew of her new film Easy Virtue were shooting in London.

According to director Stephan Elliot, the star mistook a small Ferris wheel for the London Eye.

We were staying in a hotel waiting for a writer and I suggested we go for a walk in the park, The Sun quoted him, as saying.

There in Hyde Park was this little Ferris wheel that they just put up for a little funfair but Jessica goes: ”Oh it’’s the London Eye. I thought it would be a bit bigger.”

She had no f***ing idea whatsoever, he added. (ANI)

Jessica Biel Has The Mouth Of A Sailor

It’s hard to put this in context, but suffice it to say, I’ve now heard words come out of JT’s lady’s mouth that the characters of “7th Heaven” didn’t even know existed.

Justin Timberlake triumphed at his first New York Fashion Week show on Sept. 7, but the singer may have an even bigger project in the pipeline: a wedding!

Justin, revealed to friends at the 5th Annual Fashion Rocks concert in NYC on Sept. 5 just how serious he is about serious girlfriend, The Illusionist actress Jessica Biel.

According to an eyewitness, “Justin said that he is ‘this close to being married’ and then pinched his fingers together to demonstrate.”

Another onlooker tells OK!, “He couldn’t stop smiling at Fashion Rocks. He looked like a man that had everything in the world.”  But the “SexyBack” singer was all business two days later at his William Rast Clothing Line’s show in Bryant Park.

An audience member tells OK!, “Justin looked very humble and proud to be introducing his line at Fashion Week.”

While Justin has denied any wedding rumors in the past, Jessica – who plays a new bride in Easy Virtue – can hear those wedding bells.

“I’ve never been someone who’s like ‘I have to, have to, have to have it,” the pouting beauty said in the August issue of Harpers Bazaar. “But the idea of being with somebody I care about, who’s my soulmate, that’s groovy!”

Jessica Biel is recording her debut album and the 26-year-old former 7th Heaven star has enlisted the expertise of pop star boyfriend Justin Timberlake in ensuring the LP is a Billboard smash.

According to the the always reliable Star Magazine, J.T, 27, will write, produce, and provide backup vocals for the album, which Jessica’s pals describe as “a cross between Alicia Keys and Madonna.”

“Most people don’t know that Jessica’s first love is actually singing, not acting, and she’s appeared in productions of Annie and The Sound of Music. Jessica is really excited about the CD!”
